Welcome to Echo, an innovative social networking app designed to connect people in a unique way.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) outline the rules and responsibilities while using Echo, including your rights, obligations, and how we handle disputes.

By using Echo, you agree to these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Who Can Use Echo?

Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use Echo
  • If you are under the legal adult age in your country, a parent or guardian must review these Terms on your behalf.
  • Parents/legal guardians are responsible for their child’s activities on Echo

Accounts

  • You must create an account to use Echo.
  • Your account is personal, do not share it with others. You are responsible for all activities under your account.
  • If you represent a company/organization, you confirm you have the authority to act on its behalf.
  • If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, report it immediately to support@echome.live.

Government Users

  • If you are an official or representative of the Government of India (central or state), please contact us to discuss any applicable terms or legal compliance requirements prior to using the service.
  • Non-Indian government officials or entities who have legal or regulatory conflicts with these Terms should contact us at support@echomve.live.

2. User Content

What is User Content?

  • Anything you post, upload, or share on Echo, including text, photos, videos, links, and messages.

Your Responsibilities

  • You own your content but are responsible for it .
  • Echo does not control or monitor how others use your content.

How Echo Uses Your Content

    We do not own your content, but by posting, you give us permission to:
  • Store, display, and share it across Echo.
  • Modify and adapt it (e.g., resizing images, featuring content for promotions).
  • Allow moderation tools to access it for safety purposes.

Content Deletion

  • You can delete your content, and we will attempt to remove it from Echo.

3. What You Can’t Do (Prohibited Activities)

Echo is designed for safe and meaningful interactions. You must follow our Community Guidelines and:

Do not engage in:
  • Hate speech, harassment, threats, or violence.Hate speech, harassment, threats, or violence.
  • Illegal activities (e.g., fraud, impersonation, scams).
  • Spamming, phishing, or sharing misleading information.
  • Posting harmful, explicit, or inappropriate content.
  • Attempting to hack, exploit, or disrupt our services.

If you see violations, report them via our in-app reporting tools.

4. Account Termination & Appeals

User-Initiated Termination

  • You have the right to delete your account at any time by accessing the app’s settings. Please note that the deletion process may take some time, and depending on the nature of the content, it may still appear in backups or archives.

Echo's Right to Suspend/Terminate Accounts

  • Echo may suspend or delete your account without notice if we believe you have violated these Terms, our Privacy Policy, or the Community Guidelines. We may also suspend or terminate accounts if we are legally required to do so (e.g., based on a court order or regulatory requirement), or if your actions pose a risk to the safety of other users, Echo, or third parties.

Appeals

  • If your account is suspended or terminated, you have the right to appeal by contacting our moderation team at support@echome.live.

5. Google Play Requirements

5. If you download Echo from the Google Play Store, additional terms apply:

  • Echo itself is solely responsible for the app, while the store providers (Google) are not liable for any issues related to the app. When using Echo, you must comply with the third-party terms and conditions provided by the app stores.

7. Third-Party Services & Links

Echo may contain links to third-party websites or services. These third-party services are not under the control of Echo, and we do not endorse or have responsibility for them. If you choose to use any third-party services or websites, you do so at your own risk. We recommend reviewing the terms and policies of these services before interacting with them.

8. Updates to These Terms

Echo may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. If we make significant updates, we will notify you through the app or via email. Continued use of Echo after these updates indicates your acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Warranties & Disclaimers (Echo is Provided “As-Is”)

Echo works diligently to provide a great user experience; however, we do not guarantee that the app will always be available, secure, or error-free. We are also not responsible for any user-generated content, which may include misleading, harmful, or offensive material.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Indemnity – Your Responsibility for Violations

10. If your actions on Echo lead to legal issues or claims against us, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Echo from any costs, damages, or claims arising from your content or behavior. This includes cooperating with us in any legal matters related to violations of these Terms.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

Governing Law

  • Any disputes will be handled in New Delhi, India courts.

Class Action Waiver

  • You cannot file lawsuits as part of a group, only individual claims are allowed.

Arbitration Agreement

  • Most disputes must be resolved via arbitration, not in court.
  • Before arbitration, you must try informal resolution by contacting support@echome.live.
  • Arbitration is handled by the Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

Exceptions

  • Small claims cases and intellectual property disputes can go to court.

12. Severability (If One Part is Invalid, the Rest Still Apply)

If a court finds any part of these Terms invalid, the rest of the Terms remain in effect.

13. General Terms

Entire Agreement

  • These Terms replace all previous agreements about Echo.

Notices

  • We communicate via app notifications, website updates, or email.

Waivers & Rights

  • If we don’t enforce a rule, we can still enforce it later.
  • You cannot transfer your account or rights under these Terms.
