End User Licence Agreement (EULA)
Effective 17 June 2026 · Last updated 17 June 2026
This End User Licence Agreement (“EULA”) is a binding agreement between you and Echo.Me, operated by HelloWorld (“we”, “us”, “our”). It applies to your use of the Echo.Me mobile app and any related service that links to this EULA (the “App”).
By installing, signing up for, or using the App, you agree to this EULA. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App. This EULA supplements our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
1. Licence grant
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with this EULA and the applicable app-store terms. The App is licensed, not sold.
2. Restrictions
You may not:
- copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except where the law allows;
- rent, lease, lend, sell, or sublicense the App;
- remove any proprietary notices;
- use bots or automated means to access the App or its AI features; or
- use the App to build a competing product or model.
3. AI-generated content
The App uses third-party AI to generate situations, options, outcomes, narrative, and guidance inside your simulations. This content is produced automatically and may be inaccurate or wrong; it is illustrative only and is not professional advice. To generate it, the relevant simulation content you enter is sent to our AI provider — do not enter information you would not want processed by a third party (see the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use). You are responsible for how you use AI output and for the real-life decisions you make.
4. Zero tolerance for objectionable content & abuse
Echo lets you publish stories and post reactions and comments that other people can see. You are responsible for everything you post, and we operate a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You must not create, post, publish, or transmit content that:
- is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, or sexually exploitative;
- harasses, bullies, threatens, doxxes, or targets any person;
- incites violence, terrorism, or self-harm;
- is hateful or discriminatory toward a person or group;
- sexualises or endangers minors in any way (child sexual abuse material is reported to law enforcement);
- impersonates another person or misrepresents your affiliation;
- infringes intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights;
- is spam, a scam, phishing, or contains malware or exploits; or
- attempts to misuse the AI to produce any of the above.
There is no warning ladder for serious violations: we may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts without notice, and refer matters to the appropriate authorities.
5. Reporting and blocking
Every place where user content appears includes a way to report it, and you can block a user. Reporting flags content for review; blocking removes that user's content from your view and prevents further interaction. We review reports of objectionable content and act on them — including removing content and acting against the account — typically within 24 hours.
6. Our moderation response
Depending on severity, we may remove content, warn, restrict features, or permanently terminate an account and forfeit access to its content. Terminations for the most serious violations (such as child sexual abuse material, credible threats, or coordinated harassment) are not subject to appeal; otherwise you may appeal to [email protected] within 14 days. We are not obliged to monitor content but may do so.
7. Updates
We may provide updates, which may install automatically. This EULA covers all updates unless they come with separate terms.
8. Ownership
We and our licensors retain all rights, title, and interest in the App and its content (excluding the content you create). This EULA grants you no rights to our trademarks.
9. Termination
This licence is effective until terminated. It ends automatically if you breach it, and we may suspend or terminate immediately for violations of Section 4. On termination you must stop using and delete the App. You can also end it at any time by deleting your account (see the Data Request Policy). Sections 4, 6, 8, 10, and 11 survive termination.
10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. The disclaimers and the limitation of liability in our Terms of Use apply equally to this EULA.
11. Platform terms (Apple / Google)
This EULA is between you and Echo only — not Apple or Google. If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, Apple is a third-party beneficiary of this EULA and may enforce it, and Apple is not responsible for the App or any claims relating to it. Maintenance, support, and any product warranties are our responsibility, not Apple's. Your use is also subject to the applicable app-store terms, which govern to the extent they conflict with this EULA for that store.
12. Governing law
This EULA is governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes are handled as set out in our Terms of Use. Nothing here removes any non-waivable rights you have under your local law.
